Araby is one of the most famous short stories written by James Joyce in 1905. It was published in 1914 in a collection entitled Dubliners by the Irish novelist. This short story only consists of a couple of pages but conveys psychological traits and universal values characteristic of the pre-First World War but which are still topical.
