This text is an extract of the play Romeo and Juliet written by Shakespeare in 1595. This text corresponds to an extract of ActV, sc.3, which is the last scene of the play, so it is an obligatory scene, very important, which concludes the tragic story of the two lovers. Fisrt we will study the dramatic interest very important in these few lines through special stylistic values, and finally, Friar Lawrence’s psychological attitud and his monologue, very typical of Shakespeare’s way of writting. There is a main theme emerging from this text; it is the resumy of this tragic love story in a simple person: Friar Lawrence, who has an certain role in this play.
