Copyright and Trademark law in UK and in France
Dissertation - Droit International - 11 pages - Format Microsoft Word
In UK, recent history of IP law is characterised by its progressive, but not complete harmonisation with other international laws. Like in the UK, "France has consistently pursued a policy of providing authors, artists and inventors with a particularly high level of protection." For a long time, intellectual property was protected by various legislative texts, each one dealing with a specific subject. However, a new code, Code de la propriété intellectuelle, which consolidates the pre-existing texts governing IP, was introduced in 1992.
