Commentaire de document - Anglais - Format - Auteur : mihail94
Act I of the play “Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare gives the readers an introduction to the play. Act I is one day long, from the morning till the night. It takes place in Fair Verona. Each line the Act (except for the servants’ part) is decasyllabic, which makes it sound like a long song. The conflict between the Capulets and Montagues is introduced in the first scene and lasts until the end of the play. This conflict leads to the tragic end of the play. The main theme of the play, love, is first revealed early in the play in Scene I, as Romeo comes to the stage, he speaks of his love to Juliet.
