One of the greatest Persian writers of the twentieth century, Sadegh Hedayat, lived a short but fulfilled life. Shortly after writing The Blind Owl, Sadegh Hedayat committed suicide.
The Blind Owl is a deeply haunting and irksome work of literature. A young man, decorator of pen cases, attained by a rare disease, which affects both his mental and physical capacities, narrates the story. He lives in a world situated between dreams and reality.
